This guide is for the big scarf owners, the ones who bought them and would love to do something more with the beautiful artistry that they purchased.
(Our recommended sizes for these knots is a square scarf in either Medium or Large.)
Here are my top five ways to wear a big square scarf:
Bandito
For the girl on the go, this is a guaranteed success for any outfit that needs some extra oomph!
1. Fold a square scarf in half, diagonally, to form a triangle and gather the two corners.
2. Finish by knotting the gathered two corners together behind your neck (or anywhere else the style looks good to you).
Jacky O
Going to a windy city or just a top down car ride, or just simply want to remain incognito somewhere? This one's for you.
1. Fold a square scarf in half, diagonally, to form a triangle.
2. Bring the scarf over your head, with the long folded edges at your forehead and the loose corners pointing down the back of your neck.
3. Cross the folded corners in front beneath your chin.
4. Bring the same folded corners back around your neck to the back.
5. Finish by knotting the folded corners together at your neck.
Kimono
Elegance in a few seconds. Works well for a cover over a strappy dress or to cover your shoulders on the beach.
1. Fold a large scarf in half, widthwise.
2. On the opposite side of the fold, knot the matching loose corners together, creating two knots.
3. Insert one arm through the long open end of the scarf and out through one of the short open ends. Bring the scarf behind you and put your other arm through the other long open end of the scarf, leaving you with the two knots on both your shoulders.
4. Finally adjust the scarf to how you feel comfortable.
Belt it up
This will show off a beautiful open back and give the impression of a slim waist.
1. Pick a scarf and belt that go well together.
2. Fold the scarf inwards from two opposite corners. Put the scarf around your neck, with the corners on the inside. Tuck the ends under the belt and adjust as necessary.
Strapless Top
This is great for summer days, over a bikini top or as is with jeans and heals.
1. Simply fold a square scarf in half, length wise, to form a rectangle (width of the top is up to you).
2. Place the scarf around your bust and take the ends toward the back. Tie the scarf at the back and bring the ends toward the front.
3. Tuck the ends into the front and secure with pins if you like.
And there you have it. Voila!
